Katie has called East Tennessee her home for nearly 50 years by way of California, putting a little coastal hippy in her southern drawl.
Katie drew quite a bit as a small child and into her teens only focusing on horses. She dreamed of drawing masterful work someday but doubt and graduation from school led her away from drawing till late 2020.
Katie began learning colored pencil, which led to incorporating pastels. Her workspace is a corner of the living room couch, using drawing boards. This allows her guest dogs to nap closely while she draws.
Katie boards small dogs in her home as she's done for quite a few years. Her fur clients are family and their parents, good friends.
